[Spring 2009] Commonality is part of one of my Independent Studies in Information Science, advised by Dan Cosley. The project focused on engagement trends surrounding the tagging and annotation of cultural artifact items, particularly photos. Data and photos were collected from the Flickr Commons accessed via the Flickr API and were presented in a variety of states to assess the impact of context. I hope to run some further studies using this system in the near future.

[Fall 2007] EcoTetris is a project I developed along with Will Fleming and Josh Fields for INFO415: Environmental Interventions taught by Prof. Phoebe Sengers. The goal of our project was to develop an environmental intervention that visualizes energy usage by building at Cornell. We used a Tetris metaphor and turned the visualization into a playable game. Our intervention was very well received and has had visitors from over 35 countries. Due to a Cease and Desist from Tetris, LLC, this site is no longer available to the public.

[Fall 2007] Know Your (Copy)rights was developed as part of a group project for INFO515: Culture, Law and Politics of the Internet taught by Tracy Mitrano. Our site was created mainly as a presentation mechanism and includes information on current issues in Copyright law. Note that some of the information may be outdated or incomplete.
